Frequently Asked Questions
Rescheduling or Cancellations
Because I reserve the time slot especially for you, I ask for 24 hours notice to reschedule or cancel an appointment. If you cancel with less than 24 hours notice, you’ll be invoiced the full session price. Emergency circumstances will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Because I have a waiting list, it is sometimes difficult to reschedule appointments. If I am able to fill your appointment slot, you will not be charged a cancellation fee. If a friend or family member can take your appointment time, you will be assured of not being charged a cancellation fee and your friend or family member will thank you for giving them an opportunity to receive a wonderful treatment.
Refusal of Service
We have the right to refuse service to anyone at any time. This includes but is not limited to the use of drugs, alcohol, sexual comments/remarks or any behavior that we feel is inappropriate. As Licensed Massage Practitioners, we follow a strict code of ethics. It is very important that a safe environment is maintained for ourselves and each one of our clients.
Please contact us with any questions and thank you for reading and respecting our policies. We look forward to being a part of your pain management team and helping you achieve your health goals.
Do I have to get undressed?
This is entirely up to you. Full-sheet draping is used, so your modesty is always protected. Only the body part being worked on is uncovered, so you can get full-body work & still feel totally comfortable. Undressing completely allows you to get the mostfrom your session. Gluteal muscles for instance, (rear end) can harbor a lot of trigger points and be a major cause for back pain.
If you’re uncomfortable being undressed completely, just undress to your level of comfort as a fair amount of work can still be done with you dressed… completely if you want.
How early should I show up for my appointment?
Generally, showing up about 5 minutes before your appointment time is ideal. The one exception to this is your first time here… then I ask you to show up about 10 minutes early, so you can begin to fill out some paperwork. If you show up after the appointment time, please know that your session will still end on time, so you’re only cutting yourself short. Please remember, if you need to cancel your appointment, 24 hours notice is required or you’ll be charged in full for the session. Obviously, emergency circumstances would be taken into account, but I ask that you show respect for my time, your time here, and other clients by showing up on time for your scheduled appointments.
